LEARNING AT IHMH: WHAT TO EXPECT

At IHMH, we want you to feel confident and prepared as you begin your learning journey. Here’s what you can expect once your course starts—resources, timelines, learning support, and the role of your academic trainer.

Before Your Course Begins

To help you prepare, we provide all essential materials well ahead of time:

  • Two weeks prior to your course start date: You’ll receive a detailed course schedule by email, outlining your learning plan, module timelines, and assignment deadlines.
  • One week before the course begins: Your module learning materials will be sent via email (this applies to most programs, excluding training-only or CE (Continuing Education) courses).
Accessing Your Learning Materials

All course content is shared directly via email—no need to log in to any portal. The materials are downloadable and reusable. You will receive:

  • Module Learning Packs: Including theory notes, eBooks, PowerPoint presentations, bullet-pointed guides, charts, audio files, and video links—as required by the module.
  • Pre- & Post-Assignment Questions: These guide your learning and help assess your progress. Submission deadlines will be indicated in your course schedule.
  • A Personalized Course Schedule: This outlines your weekly study breakdown, assignments, and any optional interaction sessions.
  • Quick Reference Printables: Handy summaries are available with most modules for offline study.
  • Accessible Learning Formats: If you have specific learning needs, we offer alternative formats. Kindly inform your student advisor before your first module begins.

Your learning experience will be flexible: You can study entirely online, offline using saved materials, or combine both—wherever you can access your email via mobile, tablet, or computer.

Your Academic Trainer: A Guide Throughout

Your assigned academic trainer is here to support and mentor you through the entire module. Their role includes:

  • Clarifying Module Concepts: Helping you understand complex topics and guiding your independent learning.
  • Assignment Support: Collecting assignments via email and offering clear instructions when you're unsure how to proceed.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Assessing your submissions and providing constructive feedback to improve your academic performance.
  • Resource Guidance: Pointing you to the most relevant materials to deepen your subject knowledge.
  • Personalised Study Assistance: Whether it's general study skills or resolving doubts in a particular topic, your trainer is there to help.
Interactive Sessions
  • Online discussion or interaction sessions may be arranged by the academic team.
  • These sessions typically last between 40 to 60 minutes and are available as per the selected course modality —you may choose whether to attend based on your interest or availability.
  • Sessions are designed to enhance your understanding but are not mandatory for course completion.
A Final Note

Your Academic Trainer is your first point of contact for any academic-related queries. They are here to support your journey, understand your learning challenges, and guide you toward achieving your professional goals.
