ASSIGNMENTS & COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS

At IHMH, assignments are designed not just to assess your understanding, but to help you reflect, grow, and apply your learning in practical ways. They form a core part of your academic journey, enabling you to build on your strengths and gain actionable insights from your trainers. Each module will include one or more types of assignments, chosen based on the course structure. Not all assignments listed below will be used in every module, but you may encounter a combination of the following formats.

Descriptive & MCQ Assignments
  • Assignments may include essays, written responses, PPTs, worksheets, mind maps, skill tests, or a set of multiple-choice questions.
  • You’ll be given clear submission deadlines, and all responses must be submitted to your assigned academic trainer via email.
  • Trainers will review your work and provide detailed feedback to help you improve.
  • These are credit-based assessments — there are no traditional pass/fail scores, but progress is measured through qualitative evaluation.
End-of-Module Assignments / Pragmatism Tasks
  • Typically, longer and more in-depth than regular assignments.
  • May draw on multiple modules or span the entire course.
  • These tasks serve as a capstone demonstration of your understanding and application of course concepts.
  • Deadlines are fixed and will be outlined in your course schedule from the beginning.
Case-Solving Assignments
  • You’ll receive case studies and structured templates to guide your responses.
  • You're expected to analyse and solve the cases using prior learning.
  • Your academic trainer will provide personalised feedback highlighting your strengths and areas for improvement.
Dissertation (For Advanced Courses)
  • This research-based assignment draws upon all previous modules and learning.
  • Your academic trainer will support you throughout — from topic selection and proposal drafting to literature review, writing, and formatting.
  • The dissertation is both a reflective and forward-looking component of your professional development.
Oral Assignments (One-to-One Virtual Assessment)
  • These are discussion-based assessments conducted via virtual one-on-one sessions.
  • The trainer will evaluate your learning by asking questions about key concepts from the modules.
  • These sessions are interactive, informal, and meant to assess depth of understanding, not just memory.
Important Reminders
  • Assignment formats and expectations vary by course. Refer to your course schedule for exact timelines and requirements.
  • Always reach out to your academic trainer if you need clarification or guidance.
  • Feedback is part of your learning process—treat it as a tool for improvement, not just evaluation.
